Never Give Up

Ok, I’m not giving up on my last posts attempt at comment superi0rity, but I’ve got to share this video.

I know, I know, it’s Southpark, and I’m a church planter. Southpark is evil, they say bad words, etc. But there are times when Southpark so perfectly mocks everything happeneing in our culture that it brings me great joy.

You’ve got to watch this episode. Yes, they mock Christianity, but the way in which they weave all the mockery is simply amazing.

That’s a good one! I especially liked it when they were throwing squirrels at the guy caught in the act of frivolous buying.

Okay, so I watched this the other night at another persons recommendation as well. I guess it was pretty good, but I didn’t really get it. I mean, it was half attempting to address the radicalness of Jesus and the other half saying, don’t worry about it just buy stuff.
    Did I get that wrong?

While there are some southparks that make really good points (from my view) I don’t think this southpark had a real good and solid message of any kind. Instead they effectively made fun of everybody. I just loved that they were able to lampoon so many points of view all while sticking to a seamless storyline.
